Autobiography

My name is Manu Narain, and I am both a game fanatic and a game designer. Choosing this path in life has been one of my best decisions. For me, gaming is more than just a passion—it is an inseparable part of my soul. The art I create reflects my unique style, and the games I design define who I am.

Coming from a family of doctors and engineers, venturing into an entirely different field was never easy. However, I quickly adapted to the new environment and embraced the challenges that came with it. My journey began with an undergraduate degree in BFA-Animation from Amity University, where I gained invaluable knowledge and skills. But I knew that my learning did not end there—I had to expand my expertise further. This determination led me to the United States, where I pursued and earned an MFA in Game Development from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA.

My professional journey has been just as fulfilling. As an Associate Professor at the World University of Design, I blend my love for game design and education to inspire the next generation of game developers. With over four years of experience in this role, I have developed and taught a variety of courses, including game design, game programming, and game art. Before stepping into academia, I worked as a Game Designer at EX2 Solutions India Pvt Ltd for over two years, contributing to the creation of engaging and immersive gaming experiences across multiple platforms.Beyond the professional sphere, I have always been passionate about making education accessible. I have had the privilege of teaching children who are unable to attend school as an Instructor at Self Help and Emphasis NGO. My commitment to creating inclusive and nurturing learning environments remains a driving force in my career.

Outside of work, I find joy in various hobbies, including playing games, cooking, listening to music, photography, trying new foods, meeting new people, and exploring new places. These experiences continuously shape my perspective and fuel my creativity.

With a strong background in game design, photography, and painting, I strive to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation in everything I do. My journey has been an exciting adventure, and I look forward to the many more challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
