Aten City
Final Thesis
This was my thesis work which I did in my masters. Most of the modeling is done in Maya 2015 and I am using Unreal Engine as a medium to showcase my game level. All the texture are custom made from scratch using Substance and Quixel Suite, base texture are made in Substance Designer/ Substance Bitmap2material. Used both Quixel and Substance Painter to give more detail to my base textures. All of the work starting from concepting, modeling, texturing, lighting and Unreal 4 shaders for the scene is done by me.
The theme for this environment was of a Post-Apocalyptic city where life is still flourishing. People are living in peace after war, they have made their own small town and shops so that other wasteland people can come and do business. The reason I named the city ATEN, because “Aten” means the sun or the solar disk, so this city represents life in a wasteland after war. I took this concept because I am a big fan of post-apocalyptic thing and got inspired from Mad Max and Fallout game series, so I thought of making one environment for my portfolio. Most of the environment piece are modular. My aim is to make as realistic and next gen game ready environment.It's a playable level, but not published in the market. Some examples from scene.
